Investment Banking Analyst

I submitted my resume and cover letter through my university's on-campus recruiting site, and I was selected for an initial interview on-site. Interviewed with one analyst and one associate, and was asked mostly basic investment banking technical questions (e.g. DCF, WACC, concept of time value of money, multiples) and energy-related questions to see whether I know the industry. I got a call back that evening and was invited to a dinner reception to network with other analysts, associates, and one VP. Great atmosphere during dinner. Two days later, I was brought to their office and went through six back-to-back interviews with analysts, associates, VPs, and one MD. I thought the culture was great overall, and they seemed to be a great group of people to work with. The interviews were very technical, and very energy-specific, so people interviewing with this office must brush up their knowledge on the oil and gas industry and know the dynamics of it.
