What did the interview consist of?
1 on 1 Interview
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Networked with a lot of the recruiting team, including IBD, IB Risk and a little bit of S&T. Showed up to as many events as I could - they really take those seriously. Most professionals were always very courteous and helpful in giving advice. Also, professionals were generally quite responsive by email.
The interview itself went very well. Interviewer was an MD, was very supportive in asking questions and displaying a very positive vibe throughout. Questions were mostly behavioral ("talk about a difficult situation you've dealt with in a team" "how do you add to JPM's diversity") as well as some more on the technical side ("do you follow the markets?" "what are the different ways to value a company?")
Only one interview for first round. Only one candidate from 13 interviewees was chosen to move onto next round.
