Investment Banking Associate

I applied to a lateral associate position online and it took about a month for them to contact me to set up a series of phone interviews. The phone interviews all took place over one afternoon.

HR contacted me the next morning to set up in person interviews the following week. I met with seven people ranging from analyst to the head of a group. Each interview lasted about 45 minutes and was largely fit based. The more senior personnel also asked my opinion on how to handle certain deals and what sort of advice I would give to clients in a given situation.

I heard nothing for about two and a half weeks, no emails were answered or phone calls returned. Then they called and made me an offer.
