Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Healthcare focused shop that does everything from biotech to services and Lev Fin / M&A and equity products. I had a phone screen with the business manager who thought my background (former product banker) was an impressive fit. I met with 4 individuals. The most junior put me through basic technicals we still ask undergrads. More senior folks were more focused on my deal experience and what my role was on those projects. One of them gave me a random hypothetical question about what I would do on a sell-side if only given one number - revenue. It was a perplexing question for someone who has worked on deals before. But, I think he was looking for me to say I would use equity research and comps to build out a model and valuation with all sorts of assumptions to begin the process.
