First round was at their offices and consisted of 3 rounds of 2 on 1 interviews, each lasting 30-45mins. One was mostly fit, the other was technical with paper LBO and the final was a mix of both.
Interview Questions
Walk me through how a sale of an asset would affect all three financial statements. Do you think the current economic environment is favorable for a private equity firm or unfavorable? Why? What about going forward? What are some business that would be strong LBO candidates and why? Given a company experiences an increase in revenue, would you rather that increase have been a result of an increase in volume or an increase in price? Why? How would your associate describe you? How would you friend describe you?
