Please describe the interview / hiring process.
WF held a information session. I followed up with an analyst I met there with an email and phone call and was eventually granted an interview through OCR. WF interviewed a lot of kids (39).

Prior to the interviews, there was a dinner reception at a W hotel. I was tipped by a current WF analyst to take this seriously as they discuss which candidates stuck out to them afterwards. HR also helped you identify who your interviewers would be the next day.

The interview was 2:1 with two associates, 30 minutes total. One guy looked at his phone and stared at my resume the entire time, making almost no eye contact. It was impossible to develop a rapport with him. The other guy was slightly more friendly, and it was easier to drive a more conversational tone in the interview with him.

It was all behavioral and relatively straightforward besides 3-4 minutes of very basic technicals (depreciation through 3 statements, valuation methods). There were no curveballs.

Both guys loosened up during the question phase of the interview and we discussed my interests for a good 3-5 minutes.

I thought I did well on the interview and was a good contender for a superday, but it turns out that WF only conducts one round at NYU and gives offers directly after that one round.
