Relocating to Charlotte, NC! Looking for New Job
I am starting a part-time MBA at Duke this fall and will be relocating to Charlotte, NC. I know it's still pretty far, but I just couldn't see myself living in Durham.
I currently work at a top 3 Asset Management company, but since I am relocating I am looking for a new opportunity. Other than a recent visit, I haven't spent much time in Charlotte.
Does anyone know of a few asset management or hedge fund shops that have offices in Charlotte?
Also, are there any headhunters that you would recommend for that area?
I appreciate the help, thanks!
Driving from Charlotte to Durham takes over two hours without traffic, and there will be plenty of traffic. You may want to reconsider your plan because it is certifiably insane.
I spend roughly 1-3/4 to 2 hours each way on my daily commute to work in California. I'm no stranger to traffic. If I live northeast of the city, the drive 1-2x/a week is not that bad.
Why not try and target some firms in Chapel Hill instead? Much closer?
Babson Capital has operations in CLT.
Depending on the company, I would consider Chapel Hill as well. I just figured most well-known firms are in charlotte.
