Top Mezzanine Debt Funds?
Given the proliferation in private debt recently, I wanted to dive deeper into firms specifically in the mezzanine debt space. What are the top mezzanine debt funds and how is the culture/pay at those firms?
To my understanding, the main areas of Private Debt in 2021 include: Direct lending, mezzanine, distressed debt, special situations, and venture debt. Source below:

I used to work at a PE firm doing both credit and equities. Happy to answer any specific questions but the link below will give you a good overview:
Some of the best-known funds include Crescent, GSO Capital Partners (Blackstone), Bain Capital Credit (fka: Sankaty), Oaktree, Carlyle, Kayne Anderson Mezzanine Partners (KAMP), Ares, BlackRock Capital (fka: BlackRock Kelso), Morgan Stanley Credit Partners (MSCP), HPS Partners (fka: Highbridge), and Apollo Credit Funds

In the U.K. a few of the main junior debt players are (not limited to): Blackstone (fka GSO), HPS, Park Square, GS, MV, Partners Group, Apollo.
I had interviews last year at crescent and white oak, both decent shops who play in mezz.
Interested as well.
