Where does PIMCO recruit from for MBA?
I did a quick scan of the career reports and was surprised that PIMCO was not listed as one of the employers hiring multiple graduates from Wharton. Whereas, it was listed as one for Columbia. Does this just depend on any given year or is there a stronger recruiting presence at Columbia? Also, would be helpful if someone could list their top feeder schools.
Hi Distressed to Impress, any of these topics helpful:

Fingers crossed that one of those helps you.
Very normal for all of the top AMs (Wellington, T Rowe, PIMCO, Cap Group, etc) to hire only 0-2 people per school. Don't be terribly surprised if a school has a strike out year with a specific shop.
AM has a much narrower list of targets than most other post-MBA careers. Basically you are looking at HBS, GSB, Booth, Wharton, and CBS (Value Investing Program). Some schools will place regionally/with specific firms like Anderson, Sloan, SOM.
Thank you this is very helpful. Would you happen to know what comp is at these places for a first year associate post-MBA?
Usually total comp would be around 500k.
