Consulting Questions

I received and accepted an offer at a consulting firm and I had some questions about what may seem like some of the smaller details and basic parts of the consulting lifestyle. I know there a lot of differences among different firms but any input would be great.

What are the best rewards programs for hotels, car rentals, miles, etc..?

How long does it take (how many hotel stays/miles/flights/etc) to start seeing benefits such as free nights, free travel, upgrades, etc..?

What are your favorite hotels to stay in?

I heard you can fill out an extensive application to bypass certain checks at the airports. Is there any truth in this?

Any other advice and details that you can give from experience or from what you have heard would be very helpful whether its minor details such as what I've asked about above or really anything else you have about consulting in general and the lifestyle would be great. Thanks.
