Deloitte S&O BA vs. Accenture MCDP BA
Long time lurker, appreciate the wealth of information I've gleaned from WSO to date.
Currently deciding between Deloitte S&O Business Analyst and Accenture MCDP Business Analyst (within Accenture Federal Services, as opposed to their LLP/commercial practice). Both offers are 70K-75K, comparable signing bonuses, so pay isn't a factor.
DISCLAIMER: I'm already leaning towards Deloitte, based mainly on my own perceptions and supplemented with "research" here on WSO.
Does anyone have input as to why (if at all) I should consider MCDP over Deloitte S&O? Just want to make sure I'm making the right choice here.
I worked at ACN for 2 years in MCDP non-Federal. Deloitte S&O > MCDP > MCDP Federal (unless you really like government work - most people find it really boring).
From what I've heard, Accenture MCDP is considered a step down.
Just to clarify, MCDP (federal or non-federal) is miles ahead of Deloitte Consulting, and any other Big 4 consulting group, but S&O is an entirely different beast.
Not sure what you're saying here. S&O comes under Deloitte Consulting.
It would be cool if you could remove your head from your anus before you post.
I meant the rest of Deloitte Consulting. Again, like I said, having been through MCDP, and my current boss being an S&O alum, I'd choose S&O > MCDP > Deloitte Consulting = ACN SI = other Big 4 consulting (PwC, KPMG, E&Y)
Solid post Kenny Powers, thanks for contributing.
To further clarify, Deloitte Consulting has three main practice areas: S&O, Human Capital, and Technology. The latter two are roughly equivalent to ACN SI/T.
Your explanation makes absolutely no sense. You just stated in essence New York Strip Steak (Deloitte S&O) > Flank Steak (ACN MCDP) > Chicken Marsala (Deloitte Tech/HC) = Chicken Parmesan (ACN SI/T) = Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwiches (Other Big 4 Advisory). Three totally different things for people with different tastes and skill-sets.
Wtf are you talking about?
