Hires after work experience
Do the MBB office hire laterals for undergraduate level positions? When I was recruiting in college, I made final rounds with all three but did not get an offer.
Two were just for internship though, so its been more than the required amount of time to reapply (I think its like 18 months or something)
I'm thinking of giving it another shot, but will they even look at my resume?
Consulting firms will still hire you with a couple years of experience. If you are interviewing for a position in an industry group, they may actually prefer a candidate with a year of experience within that specific industry. I interviewed after a year out of undergrad at a consulting firm.
Yes they most definitely do
What time of the year is the best time to apply if you're looking to lateral into MBB after some post-college work experience?
I would say early part of the year, when bonuses are handed out and people leave.
What months would you aim for (considering HR might anticipate this and start looking before the consultants actually leave)?
November through February is the best time IMO.
