PE Operations vs Consulting Internship
Hey there,
what is more valuable, in terms of prestige, as an internship:
a) PE Operations at a $10bn fund
b) T3 Consulting
I'm indifferent between those two offers.

Which role would you be happier with if it was your FT job? How does FT comp compare?
I'd probably lean PE ops
Do PE operations. Many people in consulting actually lateral to PE portfolio groups. Also, people you work with would be smarter (likely 99% ex-MBBs) & an internship in operations at a $10bn fund will offer you a better leverage when recruiting for full-time positions, if you choose to do so
Thanks, that was helpful. Yes, indeed, lots of MBB guys there.
Although operations is like working in a portfolio company, I do not know how much I am going to learn there.
At this point in your career go for the learnings. Ask current 1-2 your associates in the pe ops group about their experience. If they are learning a ton from the mbb managers and doing interesting work then that sounds like a winner. If not and it is all executional work then maybe lean t3
