Which healthcare/lifesciences consulting firm to choose?

I’m lucky enough to be in the position that I’m comparing offers from IQVIA and Clearview, but I’m relatively new to the consulting world and don’t generally know of their reputations. I generally have a grasp on what each of the firms represent but I’m having difficulty gauging what the cultures are like. I generally just want to make sure I’m considering the correct factors for making an informed decision. Let’s assume the salaries, locations, and work is very similar (primarily life science consulting with a little healthcare tied in), what else should I consider?

Additionally, those with greater industry knowledge or knowledge of the healthcare consulting landscape, what are people's general opinions regarding the IMS-Quintiles merger and how it's affecting IQVIA's performance today? Additionally, what are people's thoughts about the rapid growth ClearView is experiencing potentially causing growing pains?

For context, I'm a graduating senior from a target school and this would be my first full time job. Thanks!

Take ClearView and don't look back. IQVIA is a great company, but as others have suggested if you're looking for life sciences focused strategy consulting, it doesn't get any better than ClearView. I work at MBB and would consider ClearView to be a boutique competitors in life sciences, IQVIA simply is not (they serve a different need than we do).

I will piggyback onto this. I'm considering offers from ZS Associates, Navigant Life Sciences, and Clearview. I like Clearview a lot but am kind of put off by having to move to Boston. The others have offices right in NYC where I'm from and go to school. How do these firms compare?

Again, choose ClearView. ZS and Navigant are good shops no doubt (especially ZS for life sciences), but ClearView is a cut above. As far as Boston vs. NYC, NYC is a better city. Nobody can argue that point. However, Boston is the global center of pharma / life sciences so if you're really interested in the field, being in the Boston area will likely help your career.
