Starting a corp. development internship next week at a F500 O&G company. Can anybody who works or has worked in this area give any insight into what I can expect? Not much time to prepare as I just found out today, but would like to at least have a small idea of what I'm getting into. Thanks

Are you talking hours or tasks? Hours will depend on size of your team/hierarchical structure, how acquisitive it is/what deals are on the go, how many (if any) "special projects" you work on, if you hire bankers or execute internally etc etc. Task-wise, hard to say. It's possible they have a special project lined up for you eg. benchmarking the company's competitors or digging into a bunch of potential targets that no one has had time to look at.
