Full Windsor Knot & Spending More Than MD During Lunch? Pretentious?

Hey guys,

A few weeks ago this forum set me straight. I used to wear made to measure wool 3 piece suits with functional buttonholes, silk ties, Egyptian cotton white shirts, white pocket squares, silver lapel pins, silver cufflinks encrusted with rubies, an anodized aluminum pen, silk suspenders, and a wind-up watch with a chrome hidden flash drive.

I'm new so I'm expected to work in a basic factory sack suit with no accessories and a polyester tie with a four in hand knot.

The collective wisdom from the board was that I should become a yes man and validate all of the projections and insecurities of the MD and those around me.

If I was having lunch with the MD and he ordered a $20 riblet sandwich from a restaurant, I could get in trouble for ordering a $50 Yellowfin Tuna plate. Is this still true?

How about Windsor knots? The collective wisdom was that they were too pretentious. Am I right to use four in hand knots with cheap, polyester ties from Wal-Mart?

Apparently if you are new, you can't dress your best and have to intentionally dress worse that everyone else, especially in the MD.

Never mind that in a previous white collar internship experience I increased workflow efficiency by 94% and the model I designed was adopted across the company. I still have to dress like **** to appease the egos of those around me. Right?

Well, if I met you for the first time, the outfit you described wouldn't have initially induced feelings of douche-bagginess. However, if you talked to me with the attitude you use in this post, you would be autopegged as an asshole. If you're worried about coming off as pretentious, you really should worry about fixing the latter rather than the former.

Pussy? Enough argumentum ad hominem. If you actually tried to fight me I'd beat your ass mortal kombat style on the roof of the stock exchange any day.
Jesus, it's worse than I thought.

Trolling works better when you don't troll in all four of your posts.

LOL so now some of you are resorting to the classic parlor trick of calling someone a troll? Poisoning the well ad hominem fallacy.

Is there anything factually incorrect in my original post? Some of you are attempting to attack my person and dismiss my post as not worth responding to without any clear objections to my claims. Wherever you went to school, you did not learn critical thinking, which is a core skill in our field. I hope you can get your money back.

In fact, I challenge you to furnish me a copy of your objective definition of trolling without using circular reasoning, I know that you won't because any weighted objective definition would demonstrate that you are trolling, not me.
