(Men) Shoe lifts for interviews?

I was thinking about wearing shoe lifts for interviews - that would give me 2-3 inches extra. My problem with this is that once you do this, you would probably have to continue wearing them throughout your time working in the firm as showing up 2-3 inches smaller than in interview would raise a few eyebrows.

So do you think it is worth it? We all know that taller people generally make better impressions.

Depends on how short you are. If you're at around 5'6 then just go with normal shoes - you're short but not worth sacrificing comfort and esteem for. If you're at around 5'4 and below then yea you should go with some lifts preferably no more than 2 inches since anything above that becomes way to bulky and obvious.

Well how call are you in the first place? I think the above post had it right- only if you're seriously short. Otherwise, it probably just makes it hard to walk

also, do lifts make it hard to walk? i definitely wouldn't risk it if i might fall over or something due to imbalance maybe if you weigh a lot too, it would help

I'm only 6'1", so I wear shoes that make me appear 6'6". I'll admit, the shoes are a little weird and I walk a little awkwardly, but it's totally worth it.

lol maybe for the interview but i wouldn't wear them after you got the gig. i had a friend who secretly wore lifts and anytime he wasn't wearing basketball shoes you could easily tell something was up. he got so much shit from everyone once it was obvious. ands its pretty easy to tell especially in dress shoes just by looking at the ankle bone and how raised up it is.
