Mid-range deal sleds

Wrapping up my first analyst year and in the market for some horsebit loafers. Not quite ready for the Gamos or Gucci so I'm gravitating towards Allen Edmonds Verona-- any of you guys found alternatives to the AEs in that same price range that you'd recommend?

They are prone to the occasional funny QC issue (bad clicking, rows of stitching not lining up, loose grain in obvious spot, etc.)... been the case since pre-COVID. That said, still a great deal at sale prices and I do own a 10+ year old Park Ave that's up for a 2nd resole soon...

At that price point I really like grant stone. The brand takes significant inspiration fromAlden.

Edit: while stylish, I wouldn’t recommend Ferragamo. You can find much higher quality construction / materials for a comparable price point. If you really want to get Ferragamo they have a Tramezza line which is better constructed than their standard line.
