They are prone to the occasional funny QC issue (bad clicking, rows of stitching not lining up, loose grain in obvious spot, etc.)... been the case since pre-COVID. That said, still a great deal at sale prices and I do own a 10+ year old Park Ave that's up for a 2nd resole soon... Â
Also, dainite lasts way longer than their standard leather sole. Very worth the $25 upcharge if you plan to use for travel.Â
Wait for the Ferragamo seasonal sale in June/July. From 750 to 450.
At that price point I really like grant stone. The brand takes significant inspiration fromAlden.
Edit: while stylish, I wouldn't recommend Ferragamo. You can find much higher quality construction / materials for a comparable price point. If you really want to get Ferragamo they have a Tramezza line which is better constructed than their standard line.
