Summer Analyst Shirts

Looking at purchasing some blue and white Charles Tyrwhitt shirts for the Summer and had a couple of quick questions.

  1. Is Twill the right way to go? Is the pattern reserved for seniors? Will 100% cotton be to warm for the summer?

  2. Do you recommend a spread collar? Why or why not? Is it acceptable for a junior to wear?

Thanks in advance.

Twill works, but I prefer poplin for summer shirts. Not sure if any fabric is reserved for seniors (would love to hear others comment on this).

Spread is the way to go.. unless if it's an OBCD I only have spread collars.

What about semi spread? Spread feels too douchey to me/might be more formal (?)

Also does anyone prefer slim vs extra slim? I'm not skinny by any means (5'8, ~150lbs, 29 waist) but it feels like sleeves and stomach area is pretty big. I guess what I'm asking is if the extra slim shirts look sus?

I bought a bunch of CT shirts last summer. Of all fits, colors, and collar types. My recommendation is the extra slim. They basically fit how a dress shirt should, and are still a tad baggey lol. Don’t be afraid to buy them is what I’m saying because I was too.
