Tattoos on Finance
Hi everyone,
I wanted to create a thread on this topic, I currently work on PE Infra&Energy at a large pension fund in Mexico, also I have like 25 tattoos, non of them visible with a whole suit. At my past job as a market risk analyst in another pension fund, people were used to my tattoos and even excutive director had no problem with it, he even liked my tats, but also in that role I was not in contact with clients, now I do, not client bc the pension fund is the Investor and the GPs (KKR, Blackrock, etc) are the ones that want our money.
What is your opinion on the topic of tattoos in finance?
You’ll struggle to get promotions in a large organisation if you have visible tattoos, it’s sad but it’s true.
really sad, but i will try to hide them for a long time in the office, also, WFH helps a lot
So long as you can keep them covered when being hired and with clients you should be ok. If it is challenging to cover them, then you may have difficulties getting hired or promoted
they are easy to cover, and also WFH helps
