$2.9 mm hedge fund ponzi scheme

Artamonov was a Wharton -> BB IB -> Harvard MBA -> HF investor who started his own fund, which turned out to be a ponzi scheme.

Yet another reminder that pedigree cannot replace intelligence, and even the most “successful” folks need to stay vigilant in their personal investing. My question is how does this continue to happen, even when documentary after documentary about Bernie Madoff and the telltale signs of a Ponzi Scheme are required learning for anyone in business classes?
