Apartments in Beverly Hills

I am considering moving to Beverly Hills from NYC - office would be in downtown LA. Does anyone know of any good resources in order to find a nice apartment? Price range is up to $4000 for a 1BR+. Also, how long is the commute during rush hour, ~30min?

Most of the people I know that work in DTLA live in DTLA or really close to it. Beverly hills is definitely more than 30 min away during rush hour.

people that work in LA generally live in the same or adjacent neighborhood as their office. public transportation is impossible and streets just cant accommodate that many cars.

During a bad rush hour, it could easily be 20 minutes just to get to the freeway with all the side streets jammed up near the freeways. I'd reconsider and try to pick somewhere closer to DTLA. I'm not too sure how prices are directly in beverly hills but the surrounding west LA area, you could easily stay under 2500 for 1 br.

Assuming your office is in DTLA, the westside and south bay are your best options. Traffic is miserable and you will hate everything if you spend 30 minutes each morning getting on I-5. I'm not shitting around.

Thanks for all of the helpful comments. Any specific neighborhoods that you all recommend? I'm looking for the safest / cleanest neighborhood that is also a reasonably short commute to work.
