I know 5k is a lot of money, but would it be worth it for an incoming intern to boost my chances of a return offer?
For a bit of background, I have SA experience at an EB investment bank and am joining as a summer analyst at P72/M/C with the opportunity to convert to full-time.

If you are fully comfortable with technical knowledge/modelling then yes. You need to be pretty technically sufficient to get the most yield from it as it assumes you already have IB level accounting and modelling knowledge.
i would recommend doing something like wallstreet prep first. Being able to model properly is going to be essential for your SA.
