Update on American competitiveness?
Was wondering if anyone in the HF space could give their current perspective on mid to long term American competitiveness?

Guiding questions:
- How are you/your firm thinking about it?
- What drivers are you focusing on to monitor it?
- How is this train of thought affecting investment decisions?
- What markets are becoming attractive alternatives for long term investments?
As someone with no professional investing experience yet, it’s hard to sift through all the factors/trends to make any meaningful inference. E.g.
- Tech R&D and innovative patents published
- Energy independence
- On-shoring of manufacturing/supply chains
- reserve currency status

I provided a lot of questions to give some direction, but would love any and all input on how people see/think about American competitiveness in general and relative to China over the next 3, 5, 10, and 20 year periods.
