I recently got a part-time position with a small local HF (~500M AUM), and it's an unpaid position. I'm a senior and already have a full-time position lined up after I graduate (not in the HF industry).

How do I find out the performance of a particular fund? I can get the total amount sold to investors by looking at the SEC Form D Notice of Exempt Offering of Securities, and I can also see the quarterly holdings from Form 13F.

let's say you have a 1bn fund, 150mn from the top dogs and 850mn raised.
30 people work for the fund...a few traders from senior to junior, some analysts, some techies, compliance, back office.
