Bank of America London (Nat Res)

Have an offer to lateral to Bank of America (London) from another BB (low tier) to join the nat res team. The thing is that I am not working at this group at my bank and I have some questions as I have no clue about what should I do:

  • Is it an oil & gas team or do they also work with renewable energies?
  • Is it a well regarded group at the street?
  • Does this industry have a future or is it declining?
  • Any info about work-life balance?
  • It is supposed to be M&A but been told that its similar to project finance is that real?

Thank you very much

Nat Res is O&G, M&M, P&U at BAML. Within BAML it is one of the best and biggest teams. Global head sits in London. Culture and W/L balance is solid, team is very tight knit and has some cool trips. Team is M&A, but as any Nat Res company you’ll look at assets mostly. No sure what is meant by project finance.
