Noob question, but from what I know facial hair is a no go for IB, but because most things I read online relates to WallStreet or American culture, does it applies to Europe too, and to which extend ?

When I was in banking and had facial hair, an MD came up to me and told me that I've got to shave (in front of my team). Would not recommend facial hair.

Also this was not specific to me as this MD would tell any analyst with facial hair off. I guess it depends on the person but I found a lot of senior people in London in finance think facial hair is unprofessional - I know it's old school and nonsense but that's what I've seen from my experience.
