Jefferies FSG is mostly MDs with a few Analysts for support. FSG is entirely relationship management at the firm. M&A holds the model and industry coverage builds the materials for all deals.

It’s a relatively small group and one that isn’t sweaty. Would mainly just be a lot of trackers, database management kinda work. I think they first hired analysts for that group within the last 2 years. I am in another coverage group and we had a FSG MD who was in the loop who’s main and I think only responsibility was just to let us know which PE firms to target.

How sweaty is cs sponsors (for associates and above).  They model a lot?

What about boa?

BofA FSG runs the LBO/paydown model on sponsor transactions. ~50% of deal-related work is on building and working in the model, definitely more than most other coverage groups. Not as sweaty due to the overarching execution focus (sponsors approach FSG for opps so not too much pitching, although I believe this dynamic extends to most top-performing BB FSG teams)
