Goldman Sachs Generalist IBD vs. Credit Suisse Healthcare IBD

I have offers from both as a Summer Analyst. I am most interested in the healthcare industry, and CS offers a top healthcare/biotech experience. Goldman offers a generalist experience across multiple industries. Both opportunities are in San Francisco.

GS Generalist.

  1. The brand name is far better
  2. You don't know for certain you want healthcare, so why not take the opportunity to explore all industries over the summer stint? If you still like healthcare then having that GS name on your resume can help you get into a healthcare group FT. You could end up loving another industry and you had no idea prior.
