HELP NEEDED: Transfering to NYU ECON
Dear,
Last thread about NYU ECON I swear. I have posted this kind of thread several times and I can't make up my mind for God's sake.
Admitted to NYU Econ, and I guess 90percent of the people here seem to be skeptical of the program (Sternies will kill you, MBB don't even look at your resume, etc). I am a transfer student from a non-target in the Midwest and currently working at an investment firm as an ER intern. I am confident that I will work my ass off to keep my GPA up, network extensively, and be a polite college student. I WILL work hard and want to go forward.
I'm just worried if the "NYU Econ sucks" stereotype will deter my chances for IB/MC (me trying to network with professionals, sternies, etc). I also need a visa sponsorship and virtually everybody I talked to said I need to be double majoring in Econ and a hard STEM (math or compsci) to be as "competitive". (NYU Econ is a STEM btw. So I'll have STEM extension after graduation, which will give me 17 more months to work before my student visa expires)
Is NYU Econ a bad choice for me? Any NYU Econ students/alumni?
TLDR; I wanna break in IB/MC after graduation. I'm a transfer to NYU Econ and I need a visa sponsorship. I will work hard and do my homework. Can I break in?
I truly appreciate your help.
WallStreetEagle, bummer your thread hasn't had a response yet. Sometimes bots are smarter than humans anyways:
If those topics were completely useless, don't blame me, blame my programmers...
