IB Credit Risk vs Asset Management
Hi All,
I would seek your opinion on the following: I am currently an associate in credit risk management in a small asset manager boutique, I have been approached to join a role of IB Credit Risk Associate for JPM in Frankfurt. I have never worked in IB before but the role seems interesting as you apparently participate into the deal structuration with the IB coverage. In the meantime, the company that I am currently working with is proposing me to move to the Private Debt Dpt covering Fund of Fund Private Debt research. I am really hesitating between the two, my current firm is very small (60 employees worldwide) and I am tempted about the fact of moving to an IB environment. Reading through the forum, I did read some bad comments about IB Risk at JPM (automatization etc) but would I get a better career path? JPM seems to be really open about career development and internal movement...
