Negotiating salary as FT AN1 at BB

Has anyone negotiated their offered salary from HR (how did it go) or is it common to always accept the first number given. I'm aware how much access to talent big BBs (and how expendable I am as a candidate)  have so would people advise any form of neogitation for a first year analyst or do I just play it safe and agree immediately? Please throw any advice/tips down in the comments too

Are you kidding?

Negotiating your salary as a first year analyst?

Not grateful enough for the great job paying 150,000 after bonus?

Think there's not 5000 people lined up behind you who would happily take your job for the offered price?

Have you seen the stock market this morning? The Nasdaq is down 35% for the year.  The S&P down 25%. JP Morgan just laid off 1000 workers in their mortgage department, capital markets activity is down 75-90% from a year earlier.

Sure, go ahead. Try to negotiate a higher salary.

Nothing demonstrates judgement, discretion & humility like asking to be paid more than the rest of your analyst class, who are all being offered the same company-wide rate for incoming analysts.
