New Analyst Hiring
I was wondering, if it takes you more than 4 years to graduate whether or not you can still be recruited as a new grad or whether they don't like this in the industry. Because I am an engineering major, I want to take a minor which may stretch me to 5 years, and I was wondering if this is a bad thing?
Thanks
some triple majors in school took 5 years to graduate.... and they were recruited as ib analysts.
A good friend of mine started in pre-med, then switched to Finance and Accounting, so it took him 5 years to graduate. He got more offers than anyone else in his class. Hope that helps.
Minors are bs
hey jfahnbul,
i am an eng. student also and will take 5 years with a finance minor. you aren't in it alone
a friend of mine who did computer science in 5 was one of the only guys offered PIMCO last recruiting season. he leveraged the offer and chose Merrill instead
Would they even know? I mean, the earliest they can find out is during transcript review, which usually happens after you are given an offer. And my assumption is that taking an extra year in college to complete a minor isn't big enough of a negative to rescind your offer
