Possibilities to move to IB

Hello,

I am currently working in a boutique turnaround/PI consulting services company (Think Alix Partners/Alvarez & Marsal). I am still junior here but I am wanting to use this more as a stepping stone towards IB.

I previously worked in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Healthcare but have always wanted to move into IB. Initially, wasn't in a target school or target degree. I am undertaking other qualifications to strengthen my chances (CFA).

I am mainly wondering what the best route into IB would be from here, is it worthwhile doing a CFA if I am not planning to go into ER? I have some contacts in some boutique's and BB in London (think Greenhill/Lazard/UBS/Goldmans) so I am fairly confident I can get the necessary introductions.

Thanks in advance!
