Why the Credit Suisse hate?

I don't work there but Credit Suisse is an incredible bank. They are one of the strongest brand names, exit routinely to MFPE, HF, and UMM. Just look on LinkedIn. The top groups like M&A and Sponsors all do well. I have some friends who have exited to several prestigious funds. They have protected Saturday's and an incredible culture.

Sure, maybe we get paid slightly below Street, but that is completely irrelevant in the grand scheme of things when everyone will exit and lead a long life in finance after that regardless. In terms of work product, it is the same exact deliverables as every other bank. I wouldn't choose Credit Suisse over some BB's but certainly over any EB. Nobody knows the EB names when you speak to other people. I know it's a meme, but it's a little ridiculous at this point.

Some of the career options there are decent but CS is constantly involved in one scandal or another lately, they’re doing a good job of trashing their own reputation

Get busy living

anytime I hear CS, I think money laundering, russian oligarchs, fraud, dump relationships...

trust me, I'm not the only one who's beginning to develop those views

Beginning to develop? They’ve been scandal ridden for 5+ years and went through 2 straight CEO embarrassments
