I'm a people person: what roles should I look for in IB?

I'm in my sophomore year of college right now, and I've been told all my life (emphasized by recent coffee chats with people in the finance industry) that I am a very natural people person. I have an easy time making new friends and I don't have a problem with social interactions; in fact, I greatly enjoy getting to know new people and creating new bonds. In school, I had my core friend group but I always floated across different groups, I had friends everywhere.
I've been advised to steer away from IB and go into wealth management (by people in wealth/asset management). I've talked to my other friends recruiting for IB and they said that wealth/asset management is not a good job for right outside of college, as it takes a minute to ramp up and there is not much room for growth (unlike IB).
Are there any roles I should look at where I could maximize being an extrovert? Roles in IB that require relationship building and doing some more stuff outside of PowerPoint and Excel templates? I go to a non-target school, and we don't have a sales program or anything, and I've already committed so much time and energy into this iB recruiting stuff.
I know IB will require me to thug out a couple of years straight grinding behind a computer screen in a cubicle, and if it comes down to it I think I could take it. I have big promises to fulfill and if that's what it takes then that's what it takes. Just figured I would come here to do some research

Only one way to start as an Analyst so get used to PowerPoint and excel, relationship building doesn't become the main purpose of the job until around VP and up
