Internship/Analyst East Europe Advice
As a Dane from Copenhagen business school, getting a job on wall-street seems quite tough, so thinking about internship/analyst position in East Europe where the competition is much smaller. Clearly the salary is a joke, but you got a foot in the door of the bank. Are these people working there looked down upon in Morgan Stanley etc? How about intermovability?
Morgan Stanley has operations in Hungary.
Denmark, however, is much interconnected with Russia. Learn basic Russian and work for funds that invest in that country.
MS in fact has operations in Budapest, it's a shame it's only kinda backoffice stuff. As far as I heard only 1-2 guys make it to London each year from the Hungarian branch, and even there in London, you'll do only backoffice but I guess that goes without saying.
BTW As you come from a non-Hungarian university you will have a great advantage over the others I can tell you that (here in Hungary any kind of degrees, if earned from unis abroad, are highly respected)
