RMBS to BB CRE Lending lateral move
Hi all,
The particular IBAB (listed on M&I) that I am referring to is particularly strong in European RMBS & ABS, but with the intention to move to a commercially focussed debt fund or REPE one day, I think that a bulge bracket CRE group will be a better place to work & learn, specifically for commercial real estate modelling experience.
With that in mind, any comments on the above? Does anyone have any tips on how to lateral move from an IBAB, to a bulge bracket CRE group? Are there any particular deficiencies that I may have in an interview that I should deal with before any networking efforts (I know networking will be key here)?
Also, any comments on strong CRE teams in London would be good. I know that Deutsche's CRE team is good, as well as that of BofA.
Thank you!
