What will FT recruiting look like?

I'm an undergrad at a target school, CS major, 3.8 GPA. My summer plan is to work in S&T at a mid-BB. However, I'm very interested in consulting and plan on applying to MBB.

Given the news such as interns receiving automatic offers and perhaps downsized hiring, what are the expectations for how recruiting will go? How much smaller might FT classes be?

I realize there's little I can do to control that stuff and this generally won't affect my preparation, but I'm curious to know generally what to expect in terms of competition

Thanks in advance!
