Advice for a newb
What's up everyone. I'm new here and figured I'd introduce myself as suggested and get some much needed advice. I'm 35 and recently separated from the US Air Force after 11 years and returned to school to finish a BBA with concentrations in finance and economics from Gonzaga University and I'm thinking of minoring in math. I'm hoping to get into IB, PE, or HF somewhere on the west coast (just not LA) or maybe Chicago. Any advice from anyone would be well appreciated.
A couple questions:
1. Is the math minor worth it, or is it overkill? I figured that it would help me stand out (same as getting a concentration in econ in addition to finance) since I'm not attending a Stanford- or Berkeley-type school. However, if I do the math minor I won't be able to do a summer internship next year, which is my only opportunity to get once since I only have 2 years left.
2. Will my age and lack of experience hinder my chances at breaking into IB, PE, or HF?
