School

I am here today trying to get advice for my career. Questions like would it better to go to a pretty good business school like Michigan State University and get my degree in finance or go to a school like University of Michigan Ann Arbor and get my degree in Economics from there even though its not a business school. Trying to see what will benefit the most for Wall Street, also a possibility of getting my MBA. Thank you

I have a friend that is graduating in May with a major in economics and i mentioned that most hedge fund managers have a degree in Economics so i mentioned that and he told me that's true because ivy league schools do not have business schools or something like that, now i am king of worried with what to do. He was also saying Ross students get business offers other then someone who is just graduating with a econ degree

For Wall Street, focus on the target schools that recruit there, not whether the school has a business school or not. MSU would not benefit you because their IBD placement is pretty scarce, even though their business program is decent for other fields (supply chain comes to mind). Maybe this will help you get a quick list of schools. Not sure if this is outdated or truly comprehensive though.
