Working in Russian private equity

Hello everyone,

I am working in private equity in Russia (as a Russian speaking foreigner). Was wondering if there was anyone else in the same boat/Investment banking?

If so would be cool to learn your story and your vibes about Russia/CIS.

Hey, I'm from Russia, but I go to school in US. I can't speak much of my experience, but I would love to learn more about your experience in Russian PE.

A lot of the big firms have left Russia due to the corruption

Because when you're in a room full of smart people, smart suddenly doesn't matter—interesting is what matters.

Russian people are very reserved and typically view a situation as 'This person is trying to fcuk me over.' They then proceed to screw the person even more and move on. Of course PE firms are leaving as they realize they can't sell the dream to private enterprises in Russia. Just my two cents.
