When I was a senior, 3 of my friends got married who are now in IB. It is a problem if your relationship is not of a proper level of maturity. If it is all predicated on sex it won't last. If, however, you are truly in love it will. I know it sounds sappy but it's true.

I'm engaged (have been for two years) and it's fine for me. My fiance has a lot of responsibilities -- my dry cleaning and errands, keeping the apartment clean, etc. It's not the easiest thing in the world on him, but we're doing well anyway.

Advice: Talk everything over beforehand. NEVER let the lifestyle come as a surprise to a SO/spouse. Always make sure he/she is okay with everything that is going on. And never waste your energy (or your precious four hours of sleep time per day) on fighting.

let me guess female bankers are bad at sex because they have the same attitude to it as they do with work?:

1) lets not waste time probing around, identify the suitable takeover target, initiate conversation, bid and get it on

2) why waste time with foreplay when that yields the lowest return on time, just get over here and start!

3) don't last too long, i can only afford to sleep for 4 hours, have a 8.30am meeting with the VP. So every minute from now is deteriorating my work life balance.

4) lack of practice = bad performance, just like jogging or playing sports

However, if your average unfit male was to act with the above attitude, its perfectly normal.

------------ I'm making it up as I go along.
