Hiding a tattoo in the summer

I have a tattoo that is very large and starts right above my elbow. If I wear a polo the bottom half of it is showing. How can I hide it during casual setting in the summer? I think wearing long sleeve linen shirts is my only option. Any other suggestions? Hiding it because I don't want it impacting any first impressions.

Are you dense? Anyone capable of thinking realizes that it's smart to show or not show certain characteristics depending on setting.

"Gee, I know that in my career/lifestyle, I'll need to conceal this tattoo."

"Hey! I have a great idea! Let me get this tattoo in an area visible with a shirt on!"

Are you ret*rded?

Nah not really dude. I disagree. Abundance mentality. Bare your soul to the world. If you live by your principals, you shouldn't be ashamed or embarrassed of any aspect of yourself. Practice self-compassion. You were a baby once. Don't be a pussy. Wear the polo.

I have what I suppose is a half sleeve on one arm. Wear a button down and roll up the sleeves. It's not complicated.

My standard weekend uniform is button down and rolled up sleeves, office or not, year-round. I think it's been years since anyone I worked with saw any of my tattoos.

I am permanently behind on PMs, it's not personal.

Do people still have bad impressions of tattoos nowadays? Seriously, a partial or half of a Tat peeking out from under a shirt sleeve wouldn't even warrant an eye bat in most industries, as long as it's not on blatant display.
But I guess if you're really concerned about it, wear long sleeves and roll them up to 3/4 or forearm length. Or else buy some DermaBlend makeup to cover (which is what they do for actors).

Do you know what forum you're on?

I say this as someone with idk...6 tattoos - the answer is unquestionably yes.

It is not outlandish to think that 50-60 year olds in finance, perhaps the most traditional of all industries out there along with law, would prefer their teams and employees to not have visible tattoos. No one is going to care if you have them, but when they can see them in a business setting, it's a completely different story.

Hell, I don't even let mine show when I'm on the golf course for work. I'll wear a quarter zip when it's colder or one of those athletic long sleeve undershirts under my short sleeve golf shirt. Again, I love tattoos, but that doesn't mean they're anywhere near appropriate to show off in a business setting.

It's funny you say that. Do you like Huey Lewis and The News?

I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip to be Square", a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself.
