he was found face down and naked on the floor. when the maid went over to his body said sad he felt cold so who knows how long he was dead for.

Seeing the trailer for The Dark Knight it looks like Ledger did a masterful job portraying the Joker. While he most likely will be remembered for Brokeback Mountain, this film will be his legacy.

Check out this clip.  He's clearly got a drug problem, so I really doubt it was an accidental OD.  Tragic story either way.

I wouldn't say he 'clearly' has a problem as seen from this clip. Watch the  clip twice. On the first go, it seems like he's on something, but then go back and watch it again. He's an artistic type who's not trying to do a CNBC interview... he's answering the question in his own artistic fartsy way (i realized this on the 2nd viewing).

This clearly does not show a drug problem. It shows someone who is uncomfortable with doing interviews and being put on the spot. "Oh my God, he moves his arms around while thinking of what to say next... He must be under the influence!" Give me a break. Buddy of mine does the same exact thing when a Prof talks to him, and dont even get me started when a girl approaches him... And the shocker, he doesnt do drugs... Is it hard to believe that people can get nervous and make bodily movements in order to ease those nerves? No... I cant believe someone felt the need to use Perez Hilton's website as a credible source for this topic... And who cares if he did have one or not... Most people in the entertainment industry whether its acting, music, etc. have one, so is it that big of a shocker?

It's even funnier how you can link him being 'not sober' in an interview --- turn that into having a huge drug problem --- assuming from that it MUST be an OD.

The moderator needs to take your little gold star away from you.

funnier? really?

BTW read some reports - he's been 'recovering' for months and it was well-known he's had a drug problem.  Wait for the tox reports and then tell me it was an accident. How fkng naive can you be?

I'm not naive. I have no need to make judgements about the guy because objective truth

will be arriving in a short time. Those unable to show some respect for the dead (yourself)

are pathetic. Save your claims based on inuendo for perezhiton.com (you're obviously a reader)

and go comment there. Use a bit of reason and caution when you say a guy overdosed and he's

a druggie, no one deserves those titles until objective truth verifies your claims. In short, have some

respect for the guy. Hold your tongue (or restrain your fingers) until some truth comes out. Until then, give him the ebenefit of the doubt.

*I don't even really know this actor's work, am a big fan, etc... just a general point not to mudsling a dead person like you've done, especially when its based on only your shallow appraisals and only a fraction of the info.

geez, i respect the tragedy, but i also just wanted to know if the movie was going to come out or not.  thanks we can lock it now

O wait, didn't know that this thread was solely about answering your question. Glad you clarified.

Sometimes a few tangents make a thread More interesting as opposed to Less intersting.

"Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam, and doxylamine," the office said in a short statement.

"We have concluded that the manner of death is accident, resulting from the abuse of prescription medications."

smuguy,

you're assuming that the drugs came from doctors?
