BX London SA

Does anyone have any idea on what kind of backgrounds they usually look for in their summer intern hires? How do they screen CVs?

Did a quick search on Linkedin and seems like many were Europeans with several off-cycle internships under their belt already. Any disadvantage coming from a UK semi-target?

Thanks Monkeyrella. So would you say for 1st year students in the UK on a 3 yr course it will be virtually impossible for them to recruit for the summer internships in 2nd year?

Next to impossible for the traditional PE. You might be able to pull it off if you go for real estate debt or smth else, but even then it will be an uphill climb. Just do IB next summer and go from there.

Interned at a top firm in London and the Americans there have a second EU passport (from parents / grandparents). Also easier if you're Canadian because I believe you will be doing a youth mobility scheme so the company doesn't have to pay to sponsor you for 1-2 years.
