IB/PE in Canada - Entry-level

Hi,
I'm a final year undergrad student specializing in Finance at India's rank #1 undergrad b-school. I'm looking to move to Canada and pursue a pre-experience Masters to further pursue my career, preferably in Toronto, and wanted to know the bottlenecks of breaking into IB/PE there.
Some of the programs I'm considering - McGill MMF, UoT MFE (as these are the best ranked for finance in Canada). Would be really helpful if anyone could state if this makes sense in terms of the recruitment of entry-level jobs IB/PE in Toronto.
Or please any other recommendations?
Profile for Reference:
1. High GPA
2. GMAT - 740
3. Target Undergrad
4. Internships - 2 [Startups - Founder's Office (Strategy), Seed fundraising]
5. Financial Modelling certified
6. overall good acads ,ECA
Thanks

Yes, I heard that the recruiting is mainly driven by networking there. Wanted to know is it because McGill, UoT are not targets, or getting a job in Toronto would be difficult being in Montreal, or something else. Also, why won't the MFE help?
