PE Secondary Market Origination Role - Is there any way to move into deal execution?

Hey All,

First I wanted to say sorry for bombarding this forum, but I just got wind of a potential opportunity that I would love some insight on. There may be an opportunity in a PE "secondary-market" firm - essentially acting as a broker on the origination side that may be looking to hire someone purely in the origination side sourcing leads from "the global institutional private equity investor network". I was wondering if there would be any chance to do a role like this and move into PE but on the execution side? I'd be happy to do a role that has both elements but I definitely am more passionate about the analytical aspect of things. For background I'm essentially in my first year within ECM, and am writing my CFA 2 in June (in Canada).

Thank you all for taking the time to read this!
