Re-Recruiting for the Same Group a Year Later?
Long story short - I recruited off-cycle for a PE analyst position 6 months into the job at a pretty well known Industrials group/fund last year. Built great rapport with the interviewer, went through a few rounds and then didn't make it through a 2 hour model test. To be fair - had taken it while being sick (and my interviewer/HR knew that).
Does anyone have any experience with re-recruiting for the same group a year later for say, an associate position? I would think that a narrative of "hey, I've polished my technical skill since then / I was sick and wasn't able to deliver my best performance" is logical, but not sure how that is looked at. Or is it a "one-shot-and-you're-out" type of thing?
Thanks!
curious as well. I heard of first-year IBD getting blacklisted during on-cycle when making it to late stages/modeling test but getting cut there.
why not just ask them? nothing to lose
There's a slight chance the HH might view this as indication you feel/are underprepared.
